About Calcite

Calcite crystals in shapes you won't believe are natural. Calcite is calcium carbonate, and it forms in more crystal shapes than almost any other mineral: dogtooth points, pagoda stacks, and everything in between. Many pieces glow under UV light.

Our calcite specimens come from localities like Hubei, Fujian, Yunnan and Inner Mongolia in China, and Chihuahua, Mexico. It's soft, 3 on the Mohs scale, so keep it from knocking against harder pieces. Every mineral comes with a stand and label.
