About Quartz Crystals
Quartz crystals, the one every collection starts with. Quartz is silicon dioxide, one of the most common minerals on Earth, and at 7 on the Mohs scale it's tough enough to last. It's also never boring: candle quartz, smoky quartz and quartz loaded with other minerals all live here.
Our quartz specimens come from localities like Inner Mongolia and Sichuan in China, Tabasco in Mexico and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Every mineral comes with a stand and label.
