About Aragonite

Aragonite, calcite's cousin. Aragonite has the same chemistry as calcite, calcium carbonate, but a different crystal structure. It's named after Aragon in Spain, and it can grow in needles, sprays and icy clusters.

Our aragonite specimens have come from places like Yunnan, China. Every piece is one of one and comes with a stand and label.
