The drop is live. Every piece is right here. When they're gone, they're gone.
Golden Goethite looks like something pulled off another planet: metallic stalactites standing straight up off the rock, throwing a golden shine when the light hits them. These came out of Kayseri, Turkey.
Goethite is an iron oxide hydroxide, the iron mineral behind the color of rust and ochre. It was named in 1806 after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the German poet, who also happened to be a serious mineral collector.
Each one is one of one and comes on a display stand with its locality label.
