Selenite and gypsum, the softest show-offs here. Selenite is the clear crystal form of gypsum, a calcium sulfate mineral. It's 2 on the Mohs scale, soft enough to scratch with a fingernail.

Our selenite and gypsum specimens come from Mexico, including Santa Eulalia and Durango. Never wash them: this mineral is water-soluble, so keep it dry. Every mineral comes with a stand and label.
